We were anchored in Portocolom, on the South side of Mallorca for about a week. My mom discovered this really neat place where you can walk through underground caves (Drach caves). The caves are 80 feet deep and extend for 4,000 feet underground. We took a bus there with some boat friends that we met earlier this month when we arrived in Mallorca. We met up with them again in Portocolom and spent a couple of days playing and adventuring together. After walking around in the caves for a bit, we stopped and listened to a concert in a natural underground amphitheater. Gondolas rowed musicians with their instruments while they played classical music, it was so magical I felt like I was in a different realm. That is what the pic above shows. Then we got to ride inside one of those boats to the other side of the underground lake. The lake is regarded as one of the biggest underground lakes in the world. It was so cool underneath the surface, so when we came out of the caves we were so hot! We took the bus back and enjoyed the rest of our evening swimming, eating, and having lots of fun! We even had a sleepover with the girls afterward on our boat. We camped out on the boat deck and I slept in a hammock. When we woke up we were wet from the dew.

How cool – I would have loved the music underground. Bet the acoustics were fantastic! Gma
