A Little Story About My Friend, the One and Only Rat – Freja

We all have that one friend—the one you text first when you get bangs, when you’re sad, or when you just need someone to tell you your outfit slays. For me, that friend is Freja. She’s the kind of person you can count on no matter what, and honestly, she deserves a little spotlight. 

Who is Freja?

Freja lives on a boat called Positive Waves. She has a sister named Matilda—also known as Ezra’s pookie. We met Freja and her family about a year ago, and ever since, she’s become one of the most important people in my life.

She’s half Swedish, half American, and fluent in Swedish which is so impressive. Freja is obsessed with shopping, loves swimming, music, and me—obviously. She’s chaotic in the best way and somehow manages to be the life of the party and your emotional support-rat all at once.

How we met!

It all started last summer in a small village on Mallorca. We had a big boat kids meet up and her and I were the oldest girls so we were kinda nervous to meet but as you can tell from this post, we hit it off. Since then, we’ve met up in different anchorages, wandered around random Greek towns, and had way too many late-night swims under the stars. Every time we meet again, it’s like no time has passed—just more inside jokes, more memories, and somehow even more love for this rat I get to call my pookie.

A Friendship Built to last!

Honestly, hanging out with Freja is the absolute best. That rat brings so much chaos, laughs, and love into my life, I can’t even put it into words. Whether we’re swimming under the stars or just chilling and being our goofy selves, every moment with her feels special. I’m so lucky to have my pookie bear by my side — she’s more than a friend, she’s family. Can’t wait for all the adventures still to come with that one and only rat.
