Climbing is More Than Rock

I don’t know when I started climbing, but I do know that I have improved so much. Climbing is so fun, you get to go up on a massive rock and the wind is blowing in your face and the thrill is just awesome. Back in Bozeman, I would climb on a team twice a week at the climbing gym. When I watch my mom, dad, and sister climb I am amazed at how good they are, I just love climbing with friends and family and how they fly up the wall.

Climbing isn’t just about going up the wall it’s about powering through those emotional walls, it’s about having fun and thinking the problem through, that’s why I love climbing. To me, being a good climber is about being able to have faith in yourself and to not break down when thing get tough. It’s not about what grade it is, people who think its about the grade dont know wat climbing is really about. When Alex Honnold climbed Punta Carodi, like we did in Sardinia, he didn’t do it be famous he did it to have FUN, that is what climbing is about having fun.

  1. Well written Ezra. I totally agree with you although it has been a few years (many) since I have climbed myself. I still remember the great feeling! Keep up the good work. Gma
